    Great for getting started

My first drone. In the living room I only tried going up, down and turning – it doesn’t stay perfectly in place, and I flew into the wall a few times, but it survived everything just fine. Outside in an open area, flying forward and turning work really well. When you unpack it, it seems a bit basic, but the lights are bright even in daylight and it’s easy to control. As a drone beginner, I’m amazed at how precisely it flies for the price – definitely recommended. Only the battery could last longer – I’d say around ten minutes.

Good quality for the money. The camera is great for the price, and it’s really good for learning to fly and playing around. Mine arrived without an outer box, but undamaged. If you want to film professionally, you should get something else – but for having fun, it’s great.

Ready to fly without a long learning curve yes takes time to learn
Repair kit after a crash one free kit from us spare parts at your own cost

We compare it with a product category, not a specific model. If you need professional footage with GPS and a gimbal, a large drone is the better choice – this one isn’t built for that.

Drone questions

Frequently asked questions

Beginners, sets, batteries, rules and delivery – quick answers.

Ask a question
Is the drone good for beginners?

Yes, that’s exactly what it’s made for. Takeoff and landing work at the push of a button, a ground sensor keeps it steady in the air, and there are three speed levels – the slowest one is for practicing. Fly your first rounds in a large room or an open field.

What’s the difference between the four sets?

The drone is the same in all sets – only the remote controller (with phone holder or with built-in screen) and the number of batteries differ. The number in the set name is the total number of batteries included.

How long does it fly on one battery?

Up to 10 minutes, depending on speed and wind. The battery is fully charged in about an hour. If you want to fly longer, bring spare batteries – the 3-battery set includes two, giving you up to 30 minutes. Swapping takes just a few seconds.

Do I need a license or registration?

The V5 Max weighs about 110 g, so it stays under 250 g. Depending on where you fly, you may need to register with your national aviation authority (e.g. FAA in the US, CAA in the UK, Transport Canada, CASA in Australia). Check the local rules before your first flight. Never fly over crowds, near airports or in restricted areas.

Can I fly without a phone?

Yes. You always control it with the remote controller. With the Standard set, you only need your phone for the live view in the app; with the Display set, you see the image right on the remote controller.

Can I fly in the wind?

Better not. At about 110 g, it’s light and drifts even in a light breeze. It’s best to fly when there’s no wind – in an open field or a large indoor space.

When will it arrive?

Delivery usually takes 7–14 business days. Shipping is free – no minimum order. You’ll get a tracking number by email.

Good for practice

One propeller had a small scratch – I'm still using it to practice.

One motor didn't work

The drone arrived not working: one motor didn't run, so flying was impossible. Very poor quality.

More of a kids' toy

A kids' toy! It flies, but it doesn't respond to the controls. The camera has very low resolution – the quality reminds me of the first cell phones. Money wasted, for me.

Smaller than expected

Really a small drone – smaller than I imagined. I bought it for my son and hope he likes it. It comes nicely with a case and all the accessories. But it's tiny.
